His clinical training includes primary, contact lens, and pediatric care at the Illinois Eye Institute, co-managing post-operative patients with ophthalmologists in Mount Dora, FL, and low vision and ocular disease at Veteran Affairs hospitals in Mountain Home, TN, and Walla Walla, WA. Since graduating Dr. Lam worked on Vancouver Island for 3 years before moving home to practice in the Greater Vancouver area.
Dr. Lam is a member of the British Columbia Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. In addition he is able to converse in Cantonese.
In his spare time he enjoys cooking with his wife, photography, live jazz, badminton, and going out to eat at “hidden gems” around the city.
As part of his professional studies, Dr. Tseng provided primary, contact lens and low vision care at the Illinois Eye Institute, managed advanced ocular disease at the Jonathan M. Wainwright VA medical center in Walla Walla, WA, and co-managed refractive surgery patients with ophthalmologists at the Gordon-Binder & Weiss Vision Institute in San Diego, CA. After graduating, Dr. Tseng practised optometry on Vancouver Island for 2 years before moving back to the Lower Mainland.
Dr. Tseng is able to provide eye exams in Mandarin and English.
In his free time, Dr. Tseng likes to take long walks with his wife and dog, play golf when it is nice out and squash when it is not.
Dr. Bosung (John) Kim, OD was born in South Korea and has been a native of Vancouver since
the young age of 5. He received his Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Waterloo in
the Biomedical Sciences program. He then continued to pursue his Doctorate of Optometry at
the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and graduated with Cum Laude Honors. He was a
member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, Tomb and Key Honor Society,
and also served as President of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society during his
As part of his training, he provided optometric services in primary care, pediatric services
including vision therapy, and specialty contact lenses at the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr.
Kim also managed a wide variety of ocular diseases and low vision patients at the Cincinnati
Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Ohio. As well, he co-managed patients with numerous
ophthalmologists at Georgia Eye Partners in Atlanta, GA and Mack Eye Center in Hoffman
Estates, IL. At these large Ophthalmology practices, he focused on cataracts, glaucoma,
refractive surgery, retina, keratoconus and pre/post-operative surgical management.
Dr. Kim is fluent and able to provide eye exams in Korean and English. He strives to always
provide his patients with the best possible eye care.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and playing sports. Dr. Kim
welcomes patients of all ages.
